Please join us for a special evening with Patricia Steuer, hosted by Michele Kirsch and co-hosted by Nahid Aliniazee, Jill Aufricht, Michele Dauber, Saima Hasan, Paula Rantz, Kathy Spillar, Kavita Tankha, Catherine Valentine, and Sophia Yen.
Patricia Steuer is one of the first women to come forward and accuse Bill Cosby of sexual assault. Patricia came forward as one of thirteen Jane Does in 2005. Hear her personal story of how she fought to testify and support Andrea Constand, who was the first woman to file criminal charges against Cosby for drugging and assaulting her.
Sexual assault and harassment are in the news more and more. From Bill Cosby to Stanford swimmer Brock Turner to Donald Trump's "pussy grabbing" comments to the recent revelations of the sexual harassment of women founders here in our own community. We must take sexual violence more seriously. The campaign to recall Judge Aaron Persky is one important way to send a message: enough is enough.
Following Ms. Steuer’s remarks, we will hear a brief update about the recall campaign from Committee Chair Michele Dauber.
Parking will be limited, but valet will be available. Weather permitting the event will be held outdoors - please dress accordingly.
Teens and college students may attend the event for free. Please do not include teens or college students in your ticket count -- instead, RSVP for them by emailing Michele Kirsch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
